FAREWELL TO OUR DEAR FRIEND TAM PLUNKETT

It’s with deep regret and sorrow we add to our bulletin board the death of
our good friend and founder of NARSA Tam Plunkett. (July 9 2005)

Tam as most of you know had put up a tremendous fight these
past three years against that dreadful disease we all know as Cancer.

He was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.

On the right we have included some pictures of Tam in much happier times.

First two are in Vancouver during the 2001 Convention.
He’s at his brilliant best, playing his beloved flute.

Next picture he shares a smile with Sandy Jardine.
This is the way to remember Tam, his smile could light up any room.
Below that, it’s a week-end visit and sash up with the lads in Houston Texas.

“GOD BE WITH YOU BROTHER.

YOU HAVE TOUCHED SO MANY HEARTS”

God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be.
He closed his arms around you and  whispered
“Come To Me”.

You did not deserve to face this long and painful test
Gods garden must be beautiful he only takes the best.

In time we saw you sinking we watched you fade away
Our hearts were almost broken you fought so hard to stay.

But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free of pain
We couldn’t wish you to come back and suffer that again.
